Itinerary

Morning (7:30 AM - 12:00 PM)

  • 7:30 AM: Pick-up in Cape Town. We'll start our day bright and early from your accommodation, watching the city awaken as we head south along the scenic coastline.

  • 8:30 AM: Quick stop in Kalk Bay. Our first stop is a quick one in the charming fishing village of Kalk Bay. We'll grab coffee and croissants to go as we enjoy the fresh morning air.

  • 9:00 AM: Gear up in Simon's Town. Arriving in the historic naval town of Simon's Town, we'll make a quick stop at the dive center to get everyone kitted out with their gear for our adventure beneath the waves.

  • 9:30 AM: Boulders Beach Penguins. Just minutes from the dive center, we’ll visit the world-famous Boulders Beach to see its resident colony of endangered African penguins. We’ll take about 30 minutes to observe these charismatic little birds as they waddle along the sand and swim in the ocean, reflecting on the importance of protecting their fragile population.

  • 10:30 AM: Cape Point Nature Reserve. We'll enter the majestic Cape Point Nature Reserve and make our way to the car park.

  • 11:00 AM: Freedive at Buffels Bay. It’s time to dive in! We'll make our way to Buffels Bay Beach, where you’ll put on your gear. I'll guide you through the basics of freediving and we'll explore the shallow, rocky reefs, keeping an eye out for our marine friends in this beautiful, protected bay. It’s an incredible way to connect with the ocean's silent world. Diving not your thing? No worries, we'll take you on a guided intertidal walk around the magnificent rocky shores.

  • 12:00 PM: Get out of the water and warm up with a hot drink of local Rooibos tea and rusks.
